Chasm Call Challenge
In February 2025, I participated in Pwnisher's "Chasm's Call" 3D Challenge, which tasked artists with creating a unique 3D render based on a provided template [https://createwithclint.com/community-challenges].
The challenge emphasized the creation of a sense of depth and required the inclusion of a character on the foreground shelf.
To bring my vision to life, I utilized a combination of industry-standard software:
Blender: I began by blocking out the scene and rigging the worm character, establishing the foundational geometry and movement.
ZBrush: I sculpted details into the worm and environmental assets, enhancing the realism and depth of the models.
Gaea: This tool was instrumental in generating the terrain, allowing for the creation of realistic landscapes that complemented the overall composition.
Substance Painter: I textured assets with materials and surfaces that appeared authentic and cohesive within the scene.
Unreal Engine: I integrated all elements and applied environmental visual effects, culminating in the final rendering of the scene.
This multi-software workflow enabled me to craft a detailed and immersive 3D environment, aligning with the challenge's guidelines and showcasing my technical proficiency in contemporary 3D art creation.
